Ministry Experience:
Aug. '12-Current: Associate Pastor, First Baptist Church
Responsible for leading teens and young adults in Bible study, outreach and fellowship. Assists the senior pastor in the daily ministry of the church and also in charge of social media development and management for the church and it's various ministries.
Jan. ’07-Current: Christian Apologist, (N.A.M.B. Certified)
A Christian theology and apologetics ministry that started with a simple blog and has developed into a ministry of speaking at youth camps, collegiate ministries, and churches. Speaking topics range from arguments for God’s existence, the reliability of the Bible, understanding and defending the trinity, Mormonism, Roman Catholicism, the case for the resurrection, and more.
Oct. ’11-June '12: Associate Pastor of Student Ministry, South Campbellsville Baptist Church
My responsibilities include teaching students in grades 7-12 about the Bible and the Christian faith, personal evangelism and discipleship of area students, introducing them to Christ and then encouraging them in their spiritual formation through fellowship activities, camps, mission trips, service and evangelism opportunities, etc.
May ’08-June’11: Associate Pastor of Student Ministry, First Southern Baptist Church
Responsibilities included the discipleship and teaching ministry of the 7-12 grade students of First Southern Baptist Church of Junction City, KS. Responsibilities include weekly preparation and teaching of the Bible, creating evangelism strategies and opportunities for the entire congregation, filling the pulpit when the senior pastor is away, giving spiritual council and guidance to church members, etc.
Aug. ‘05-Aug ‘07: Director of Evangelism, Western Kansas Baptist Assoc.
Responsible for planning evangelism events for the churches of the Western Kansas Baptist Association and counseling churches in more effective evangelism efforts.
Feb. ‘04-Aug ‘07: Associate Pastor of Youth & Missions, Celebration Baptist
Responsible for planning Wed. night youth ministry, youth Sunday school, and teaching of youth grades 6-12. Created a discipleship team for High School age youth who were interested in going deeper into the word and theology. Planned summer camps and youth trips and one Mission trip. Coordinated evangelism events for the youth and the church as a whole.
